Andrew Noonan

Complex experience. Direct involvement.

For more than 25 years, Andrew has been trusted to lead design through some of architecture’s most complex challenges. NADA brings that experience into a deliberately small practice, where it remains directly connected to every project.

Experience

Experience matters when it helps make better decisions.

01

Complexity made useful.

Andrew’s work has taken him through London, Dubai, Hong Kong, Beijing, Sydney and Brisbane, across projects involving complex briefs, sites, stakeholders and technical demands.

That experience spans health, hospitality, cultural, civic, commercial, sporting, residential and retail projects.

At NADA, the value of that experience is not scale or prestige. It is the ability to understand a difficult problem, identify what matters and make the decisions tangible.

02

Environmental thinking belongs inside the decision.

Andrew has helped shape sustainability strategies within two global architecture practices, embedding informed, measured and responsible decision-making into design rather than treating environmental performance as a separate exercise.

His ongoing work draws on regenerative practice, Passivhaus, whole-life thinking and the circular economy, always tested against the needs of the particular people and place.

03

Teaching sharpens the questions.

Andrew is an adjunct in architecture at the University of Canberra and has previously taught at the University of Queensland and the Bartlett in London.

Teaching, professional contribution and practice are part of the same enquiry: how architecture can respond more intelligently to people, place, resources and time.

04

A small practice by choice.

NADA is intentionally small. The aim is not to separate design leadership from the daily work of a project.

Andrew remains directly involved in understanding the brief, testing options, making design decisions, resolving detail and working with the client and project team as the architecture develops.
